Institute for Supply Management
(Purchasing Management Association)

ISM was formerly the National Association for Purchasing
Management. The association exists to educate, develop,
and advance the purchasing and supply management
profession. ISM’s premier certification is the Certified

American Society for Quality (ASQ)
(Quality Improvement Association)
The American Society for Quality (ASQ) has been
the leading quality improvement organization in
the United States for more than 50 years. Its members
have initiated most of the quality methods used
throughout the world, including statistical process
control, quality cost measurement and control, total
quality management, failure analysis, and zero defects.
ASQ has more than 117,000 individual and 1,100 corporate sustaining members and has awarded over 80,000 certifications to professionals. ASQ administers the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, managed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The annual award is the highest level of national recognition for quality achievement that a U.S. firm can receive.
